A rare Lucas Temporary Release Note Spare Parts List, TR159 (14th March '57) for the introduction of the Jensen 541.
Temporary Release Notes were issued mid year to identify electrical specification changes or for new model / variant introductions. The following years' CCE lists would include this information but for the model historians wanting to know about the timing of changes these are a must. They almost invariably got destroyed.
TR159 shows the major unit part number specifications: Control Box, Distributor, Generator, Lighting Units, Starter Motor as well as all the minor parts - petrol reserve valve, switches, junction boxes, overdirive parts. The Wiper Motor is given with a list of the attached rack, wheelbox, arm and blade part numbers.
