Great vintage 1ST EDITION fiction hardback book from 1940 by Constance Heward. Contains illustrations by S B Pearse. Photos show some pages have smudges or pen lines and some pages have clear tape repair on the binding between pages (which feel absolutely fine so maybe it was a preventative measure). Other pages inside are in nice condition especially as the book is 85 years old.
