."I, William Albert Gorton, of 372 Park Road, Hockley, Birmingham, a British subject, do hereby declare the nature of this invention to be as follows: ...This invention has for its object to provide a simple means of connection of the mudguard or carrier with the machine which will emnable the wheels to be removed without first having to detach the dstays from the machine or for removing the mudguard or carrier without resorting to disconnection of the stays with the wheel spindle..."
