"We, Aktiengesellschft Brown, Boveri & Cie, of Baden, Switzerland, Engineers, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: This invention has for its object to produce by simple means an efficient circulation of air and consequent cooling of electrical machines. According thereto passages are provided for conducting the air employed for colling, to the outer periphery of the stator, slots being provided in the stator by means of which the air conducted to the periphery of the stator can be led into the stator, then in the direction of the periphery ..."
