Patent No. 25,927 A.D.1903 "Improvement in Frames for Clothes-lines to be Wound up on".

"I, Carl Thiel, Fireman, of 20 Furstenuferstrasse, Magdeburgh, Germany, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: The object of the present invention is a frame, on which the clothese-line can be wound up and unwound without becoming entangled; beside this the work is considerably facilitiated as the person needs not hold the line with the hands..."
