"I, Alfred Felix Alexandre Kinaux of Jupille, Liege, in the Kingdom of Belgium, Engineer, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: This invention relates to the construction and arrangement of brickwork-furnaces with passages whereby air can in regulable quantities be mixed in combustion chambers with gases from blast furnaces and the said air and gases be beated by the brickwork previously to their arrival in the combustion chambers..."
