"We, Johann Steinfeld, Gentleman, and Theodor Becker, Engineer, both of Mulheim on the Rhine, in the Province of Rhineland and Kingdom of Prussia,, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: The invention hereafter described and explained by drawings relates to a trestle which by means of mechanical devices may be adjusted and secured at any height, and which, since it occupies very little room when laid together, is easily transported from one place to another..."
