"I, William Nathaniel marcus, Oil merchant, of 218 North Second Street, Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, U.S.A., do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: My invention relates to an improvement in supports for the receiver of a telephone; and it consists in an adjustable bracket, which bracket may be placed on the wall of the room in which the telphone is placed, and the object of said invention is to dispense with the necessity of holding the receiver in hand..."
