"I, Henry Garwood Watel of the Blackman Ventilating Company Limited, 63 Fore Street in the City of London, Engineer, do hereby declare the nature of this invention to be as follows: My invention relates to the dricing of fans by electricity applied in such a manner that there is no strain of bands or other connections for transmitting power for consequent friction of bearings, nor is there any torsive stain on the shaft..."
