1 metre 50mm Wide Copper Shielding Tape Guitar Cavity Scratchplate Earth Shield

This is a 1 meter length of 5cm wide Copper tape ideal for screening the cavities of Les Paul wooden bodied electric guitars to reduce hum and buzz, or for sticking inside the plastic top plate / scratch plate of a Stratocaster or similar electric guitar.

The tape is self adhesive and will stick well to plastic and to clean smooth wooden surfaces, but may need some extra adhesive if fitted to roughly cut internal cavities. Note that after fitting, the tape should be connected to the ground side of the guitar output socket via a wire screwed or clamped to the tape, or the tape should be in firm contact with the grounded body of at least one control or switch. 

Supplied as a folded strip to save you postage. Please note that the photos show a full 25m reel of this tape and as it seems one customer thought this meant she would receive an entire reel by ordering qty 1 of this item, it should be clear that you will receive a folded strip of this copper tape, cut to the length you have ordered in metres, IE qty 1 = 1 metre of tape.
