1/18 1965 Mustang Shelby GT350R #23 Charlie Kemp, in the box, the box may or may not show shelf wear. selling " AS IS " 1:18 scale is a salute to the 50th Anniversary of the Shelby GT 350, and it's the diecast replica of Kemp’s #23 B-production racer. Charlie Kemp’s SFM5R538 ’65 G.T. 350 R-model, considered the winningest Shelby Mustang ever with 17 straight wins from 68-69 and 32 total victories, it ran at a clocked 184 mph at Daytona in 68. The highest speed recorded for any 289ci small-block powered Shelby, including the Cobra, at the famed speedway. At Daytona in 1969, Kemp and his #23 ’65 G.T.350 R-model performed the famous “pass in the grass” on Chevrolet’s ZL-1 Vette! With the combination of Kemp’s driving, and the car’s flat out performance this combo was nearly unbeatable and responsible for 16 lap records back in its day, including the speed record at Riverside in 1968.
