Welcome to PRINCIPALLY POTS, we specialise in supplying replacement and used tableware, especially discontinued British pottery. Manufacturers include Churchill, Denby, Hornsea, Johnson Brothers, Midwinter, Poole, Royal Albert, Royal Doulton, Wedgwood etc as well as own brand from BHS, Boots and Marks & Spencers. INFORMATION – PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING 

Peace of mind. The majority of pottery items we sell on eBid are second hand/used and we do our best to accurately describe them (we are however only human and may get it wrong). If we think something is in excellent or mint condition we will say so, as with most used pottery, especially plates, dishes etc, there may be some usage marks. We will always endeavour to take extra photographs, if asked. Everything we sell on eBid comes with money back guarantee (less carriage). If we have got it wrong we will refund. But please contact us first, as soon as you have any concerns, this will give us the opportunity to resolve the situation amicably.  

Packaging. Wherever possible we will recycle packaging, but only if it is fit for purpose. You will see from our feedback that our packaging is excellent and we want to keep it that way. We constantly analyse our packaging costs and normally charge no more than £1.50 to cover package time and materials. 

Postage. If it is the first time we have packed a particular item, then the weight used to calculate postage is an educated guess and we may be wrong, if we have dramatically over estimated then we will refund the difference. If we have underestimated by a small amount we will take it on the chin, however we do reserve the right to renegotiate the post & packing charge, especially for international postage.We normally use the Post Office for most of our requirements (one of the main reasons for this is we want to support our community by using the small local Post Office). We cannot be held responsible for any carrier’s incorrect handling of a package.The Post Office does not provide insurance for lost or damaged items, but do provide compensation. However we understand that compensation for ceramics and glass is NOT offered for breakages, with parcel or letter post (which is why we endeavour to provide decent packaging). If you require special delivery, please ask.We keep a copy of proof of postage and will gladly help if you need to claim against the Post Office. If you are bidding for more than one item please contact us for postage costs for combined items.

International Buyers. We are happy to post worldwide but would international bidders please contact for postage costs before bidding and indicate whether you want delivery by surface mail or airmail. We can only accept payment by PayPal in pounds Sterling.We are not responsible for making sure that what we are posting meets the Customs requirements for a particular country, please make sure we know what is required, so the parcel meets your customs services needs. For instance, do we need your telephone number on the package? 

Payment. Would you please remit payment within 7 days of the auctions close, if you have a problem, please let us know as soon as possible?Payment accepted by Postal Order, Cheque or PayPal only (International buyers PayPal only). If paying by cheque, we will only despatch the item after the cheque has cleared. We will post items within 3 working days of receiving cleared funds, but unfortunately cannot guarantee a delivery time.

 We will accept returns under the UK’s distance selling regulations, providing the item is returned in exactly the same condition as when sent. The amount paid for the item (excluding carriage) will be refunded. However if you are unhappy, please contact us first.
