Some Information About scottsshak
Hi. My name is Scott, and I've been online for a long time. I've done a lot of things in my life, but one of my more recent enjoyable adventures has been selling high quality tactile/analog music (vinyl LPs, CDs, & cassettes), both new & used items, as well as the occasional select component, like preamps, turntable cartridges, turntable mats, speakers, etc. I started purchasing supplies of all sorts in the summer of 2017: cleaning supplies of all types for vinyl & CDs, CD repair equipment, the best, strongest outer sleeves for vinyl I could find, shipping & packing supplies, & so much more. I also increased my personal music inventory by acquiring a few albums, mostly in genres I didn't own. I sometimes have a number of rare items I sell, as well as some newer items, & more. I opened my first online shop in November 2017, and have been selling inventory on now-several sites, both in the U.S. & internationally. I've met some really nice people -- digitally -- around the world this way, & have had the joy of providing pleasure to others around the world in the form of music -- typically analog music, what I would argue remains the best form of music due to signal AND noise. If you doubt me, I could point you to one or two books on the subject. They're fascinating. Incidentally, you may not find what you're looking for in my shop, but that doesn't mean I might not have it or can't get it. Message me and ask. I've developed an international network, some of whom specialize in very rare and hard-to-find items, and I've been able to acquire rare originals, imports, promos, and the occasional autographed copies of various LPs for some customers. So just ask me to do a free custom search, and I'll be happy to. No guarantees, but I've gotten several very nice items. You might have to be prepared to pay a certain price, though, depending on what the item is. Just sayin'...
Anyway, I decided to create this shop here on eBid to see if anyone wants to buy anything. I'm going to slowly add inventory to the shop on a regular basis. I also sell vintage books, occasionally, so I may be doing that as well on this site at some point. Because if there are things I've loved over my life, they've been music, reading, & technology. I'm selling music and reading-related items now; don't know about the technology just yet. Maybe in the future...
I use PayPal as my form of payment method.
I ship music (and most books) in the U.S. via USPS Media Mail and internationally via First Class International. Other shipping methods can be requested for other methods & rates.
When it comes to music (and frankly, I follow this standard similarly with books), I adhere to the Goldmine Standard & take it very seriously, unlike a number of sellers. I adhere to the Goldmine Standard because I believe it is the most comprehensive & stringent grading standard used. Unlike many sellers, I both view/eye—grade & play/listen—grade all unsealed items in my inventory, so the grade assigned to each item is as realistic & as close to completely accurate as possible. When I ship items, their grade is as described – typically NM or Mint, & sometimes VG+. I clean all vinyl, & have & use multiple cleaning products, solutions, & devices, & I clean any CDs & cassettes necessary & repair CDs in need of repair. Additionally, I use the best, most durable outer sleeves for vinyl, & when necessary, new clean CD & cassette containers built to look & feel like those from the 1980s, & I pack my shipments well. I'm a collector too, and know how much value most customers place on such practices. Thus, I take my responsibilities seriously. I love making people happy with good music, I love positive feedback, & I love repeat customers. Love your music, know that I love music too, & remember that I “sell a little bit of everything.”
I accept returns for standard orders for up to 15 days after delivery confirmation & provide full refunds for the item & original shipping costs. Contact me to explain reason for return. Customer assumes responsibility for cost of return shipment. I do not accept returns for "custom orders" under any circumstance.
