Hello, I have been an ebay seller since january 2007 (same username  russellcarey1  there if you would like to view my feedback) I started selling on ebay while i was going to college for auto mechanics,  I graduated with an a.a.s. in  2008 and took the ase certification testing, and had just got my ase certification in may. ( I was selling on ebay and had a job as a pizza delivery driver ) I found a job in a small shop (started june 1st) and asked pizza hut if i could drive the friday/saturday night shift 5:30 pm till 2.30 am ( I was pulling in close to $400 at the time for those 2 shifts ) and was going to keep the pizza hut job for the rest of the summer as i had student loan repayment starting in january. They agreed as I had been working there 2 1/2 years during college. And things were going great at the shop monday - friday 8:00 to 5:00 pizza hut friday and saturday night, getting up for sales was a drag but i would sleep afterwards till my shift at pizza hut ( write ads on sunday ) in 3 weeks I had saved $3000. On june 28 2008 while delivering a pizza at 2 am the dumb ass shut off the outside light as i was leaving (i couldnt see) and stepped off an elevated yard and shattered my calcaneus (heel) and ankle. I crawled across the street to my car and called pizza hut and went to the emergency room. They said I would need to see a surgeon. I had surgery (took 2 weeks for the swelling to go down before they could operate) no weight bearing on left leg for 3 months (there were times I thought the crutches were going to kill me) after several months of very painful physical therapy and I was able to walk with a cane. I then developed an anatalgic gait, walk with a limp, then started having intense pain in my right hip and lower back (sometimes the pain would shoot down my leg it was EXCRUCIATING) my doctor did an mri and tells me I have several pinched nerves at l2 and l3 and narrowing of spinal cavities ?. So anyway he had me do some physical therapy to strengthen the muscles that had atrophied and spinal decompression for several months. I am able to stand or walk or set about 30 minutes to an hour, about every 2 hours i have to lay in bed and elevate and ice my heel and ankle (swells up) I have to take narcotic pain medication to be able to walk. I am classified as permanantly disabled. I still am able to go to estate sales, flea markets auctions, garage sales. I generally look for antiques and collectibles watches clocks costume jewelry music boxes glass but will buy about anything I think will sell. I am 45 and married and have a pet cockatiel name boo boo. I have found that selling on feebay (ebay) is becoming almost impossible with all the extra fees and am going to start listing items here. I hope I find the kinds of things you are looking for! and we can do business ( I am a small seller but need to make extra money to pay bills ( i will not be eligible for medicaid until next january ) so the profit i make is mainly going for medical expenses right now and ebay is eating all of it up!
