All About Me

I am new to eBid, but I am a 20+ year online auction veteran with a 100% positive rating. I also have 35+ years experience in the collectibles business, including 25+ years in the mail order business.

I am Mistercola (Robert). I have bought, sold and traded advertising memorabilia for over 35 years. I do all the acquisitions, listings, and shipping personally. I strive to be professional in the manner in which I handle each and every transaction. If there is ever a problem just e-mail me and I will do all that I can to take care of it. My policies are listed below. Please take some time to look them over.

I will have quite a number of interesting original items to sell. Among them will be soda bottle caps, soda labels, bread wrappers, soda bottles, milk bottles and caps, soda 6-pack cartons, ashtrays, magazine ads, glasses, spice tins, and a good variety of ephemera in most every advertising catagory. I will also be listing a wide range of diverse advertising items, some bulk quantity items, and some pieces out of my personal collections.

 

I have always tried to acquire only the best condition original items possible. I also buy all types of old original advertising for resale. I mostly like to buy large quantities or entire collections. If you have something for sale just e-mail me and I will get back to you.

 

All of the items that I sell on eBid are guaranteed to be 100% ORIGINAL and authentic. I list the best condition items I have available and start them as low as possible with no reserve. Just because I list an item for much less than its true value does not mean that it is of inferior quality. I do my best to give a fair and honest description of an items condition using a scale of Mint--Near Mint--Excellent--Very Good--Good--Fair--Poor with some ++'s when I feel an item falls in between a catagory. 1) I will e-mail everyone as soon as possible after the auction closes with your total and payment instructions. You will need to follow the instructions in that e-mail. Be aware that if you have a spam filter or firewall you may have to change your settings in order to receive my e-mail. Multiple wins will automatically be combined to save you on the cost of shipping.

2) I take great care in my packing and shipping. I will do my very best to insure that your package arrives undamaged. Sometimes though, no matter how well I pack your item, accidents or loss can happen. I recommend that you purchase insurance for item/items valued at $25 or more. The insurance cost is always voluntary, at your descretion, and will not be included with the invoice total. You must request insurance, and pay the cost, or it will not be added to your order. Remember, that without insurance, I am not responsible if something happens to your order while in transit. I only charge what the carrier charges for insurance.

3) Your item will be shipped within 1 day of receiving payment. I do my very best to get your item out as quickly and safely as possible. Keep in mind that no matter how fast I get your order to the post office the time it takes for the postman to deliver it to you can vary greatly. Rest assured that I will get your item out as quickly as possible.

4) I ask that everyone pay in a timely fashion. Do not bid if you do not intend to pay. I do accept Paypal so you can pay right after the auction closes. If you are mailing your payment please mail to the address included in my e-mail.

5) If you have questions on how I run my auctions, or the processing of your order then you can e-mail me through eBid from the auction page.

6) All my items are sold "as is". I will give a refund if I have made a gross error in the description. Item/items must be returned, in the same condition as received, within 14 days.

7) If you are considering leaving neutral or negative feedback, I ask that you contact me first so that I am able to give an explanation or to answer your concern. If I do not know what the problem is, I cannot fix it. I would hope that all my transactions can end on a positive note.
