Hi.  I have recently started using eBid to buy and sell items as a private individual (i.e. not a business).  As I am relatively new to the site, but will be posting a few items to auction, you might like to know that I have bought and sold many items over the years on eBay.co.uk.  You can check out my feedback and details with my eBay user-name, almansa58, on their UK website.  I hope this reassures you that I have an unblemished record of buying and selling online, and that I always conduct all of my transaction with courtesy and efficiency.  I am always very happy to answer questions on anything I post for sale, and will supply further information / photos where requested.

A couple of general points on my sales; I always post by a signed method, recorded or special delivery in the UK, and the nearest equivalent overseas.  I usually charge the costs of postage and any insurance, plus a minimal amount to cover packing materials - sometimes these costs are included in the auction price, and sometimes they're extra (it depends on the item).  Outside of the European Union, there may well be customs charges to pay, and this is of course the responsibility of the winning bidder - I have to list the item on the package and state the price I have sold it for.  

I accept PayPal and pppay, and also accept postal orders, personal cheques drawn on a UK bank, and escrow on higher priced items.  With cheques and bank transfers, I have to wait for 8 working days before I can send the item, as this is the amount of time before the bank will guaranteed cleared funds.  This is the bank's policy, not mine, and is different from the 3 days it takes to initially clear the funds.  If you use instant paymernts with PayPal or pppay, however, I will endeavour to post the items to you very quickly indeed, often the same or the following day.

Please note that when you bid on an item in an auction, you are making a legal contract to buy the item at the price you have bid.  Please therefore ask any questions about the item, postage etc BEFORE you bid; I'm always happy to clarify anything I can about the items I'm selling.

You'll see that most of my auctions are for watches, photographic equipment or music-related items.  This reflect my interests, as I have been an avid photographer for many years, collect watches, and have a passion for music!  Everything I sell has been properly looked after, as I always take care of my possessions, and everything is guaranteed to be absolutely authentic.  If I state a watch is a particular make, you can be assured that it is, and this is usually backed up by original boxes and papers.  I am registered with PayPal as a Premier user, with confirmed and verified details, and have now registered with pppay.com with confirmed details.
