Some Information About lewilliams

Giving you a little more insight into the seller.
I am a new seller on Ebid (since April 2011), but have been a seller on Ebay for several years with over 8,000 feedbacks. My prices on ebid are lower than they were on Ebay as the fees are lower, so I am passing on some of the savings to customers.

  • I always describe the items with accuracy and honesty - I have been ripped off in the past and I know it is not pleasant!

  • All my items are always sent well packaged and sealed, with my return address attached. I always obtain proof of postage, and recorded delivery is often included at no extra charge.

  • I try to post items within 24hrs of receiving payment. My feedback does regularly state that postage is very quick, and I will let you know if I am facing any delays such as working away from home.

  • If you are bidding on multiple items, please ask me about postal discounts and I will send items in the same package where possible.

  • I keep my P&P rates reasonable, but please remember that this covers the cost of postage and packaging, to a high standard to ensure the item arrives to you in a satisfactory condition. I pack all items carefully using proper packaging materials. Please bear this in mind when comparing P+P costs.

  • I prefer to receive PPPay.com Instant /PPPay.com.Escrow or Google Checkout as a method of payment, but I will accept cash or cheques and postal orders in UK Pounds Sterling only.

  • I do not add any extra fees at the end of auction. My listings are clear with the postage and item cost.

  • All items are sent as soon as payment clears. I do not accept money orders or Western Union style payments nor Paypal .

  • Like all other eBid sellers I prefer payment within 7 days of the auction ending. If this is not possible for whatever reason, please let me know. It only takes a few seconds to send me an email and I appreciate the communication.

  • If after 7 days I have not received payment I usually engage the eBid dispute process in order to recover my fees, but if there is a valid reason for non or late payment, I will understand and appreciate being notified.

  • I will post items abroad and I always use airmail.  I will normally show the international postage rates, but if it is not listed please feel free to contact me.

  • Returns and Refunds - In the unlikely event of a fault developing with any purchase, or an error in the listing, I will refund or replace at my expense, which includes any return postage costs. Please let me know of any problems within 14 days of receipt.

    Distance Selling Regulations 2000
FOR THE BENEFIT OF UK CUSTOMERS ONLY.

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 ("the Regulations"), UK customers have the right to cancel an order placed with us within 14 days of receipt of the goods, This does not include items that have been made to your specifications; including created-to-order purchases, specially requested items, or other items that you have unsealed; or cost of carriage. The Regulations are designed to protect consumers when buying products by mail order or over the Internet as opposed to in person in a shop or other retail outlet. It also
does not cover items won in an online auction. The effect of the Regulations is to allow a UK customer to withdraw from the contract as if it had not been made.

To cancel an order under the Distance Selling Regulations you must notify us in writing by e-mail, quoting your name, eBay item listing number, address and contact telephone number. Please read the following conditions  carefully; they apply to your order. These are:-

    - Cancellation must be in writing. A telephone call is not sufficient.
    - You must return the goods to me AT YOUR EXPENSE (including all packaging, product boxes, etc.) in exactly the same condition in which the goods were supplied to you. This means that you must not destroy or dispose of the packaging in which the goods are supplied until you know that you do not intend to return the goods.
    - Please note that proof of posting is NOT proof of receipt. You are liable for the goods until they are delivered to me, and I will not reimburse you until the goods are returned to us in good (fit for resale) condition. It is strongly advised that Royal Mail Special Delivery or other insured and tracked delivery service is used for this purpose in order to be sure that any goods returned are delivered safely.
    - If goods returned  are found to be damaged, I will not refund any money. I will tell you this in writing by e-mail. The goods will then be kept at my premises for 90 days from the date of that written notice, after which time I will dispose of them without any further notice to you. You may request that I return the item(s) to you before the expiry of the 90-day period, in writing, and you will be responsible for the cost of return, using Royal Mail Special or Recorded Delivery

ANY GOODS RETURNED  ARE NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY UNTIL DELIVERED. I ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE IN TRANSIT WHEN
YOU ARE RETURNING GOODS TO ME.

It is therefore recommended that you use the Royal Mail Special or Recorded Delivery service to return goods. These services are available from any UK Post Office, and provides a guaranteed next working day delivery, with a signed receipt, plus insurance of up to 50, for a very reasonable cost. Please contact me to discuss a possible return BEFORE you send anything to us. Any items returned without prior consultation will not be subject to possible refund.

These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Thank you for your understanding,  Lynda
