RARE 64 DIECAST (Larry Hatch)
Featuring uncommon 1:64 diecast cars and trucks

QUESTIONS: Always welcome. Please ask. I  have thousands of cars and many friends with similarly big collections. If you are looking for a particular car builder (Porsche, Mercedes, Cadillac, Corvette, Ferrari, etc.) let us know.

HOLDING OPEN AUCTIONS/BUY NOW: We hold orders open 14 days for payment. This allows you time to bid or buy newly added items, saving us both time and postage. You may receive an automated reminder from eBid but we do not claim unpaid merchandise until the 15th day as policy allows. Having bought more than 1000 things online, I realize the we  sometimes want to bid on just one or two more things before paying for "just won" merchandise. This is logical, efficient, and fair to both buyer and seller.

SHIPPING FREQUENCY AND METHOD: I ship two days a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays except around federal holidays. I prefer USPS First Class mail since getting a car a day or two early can add $4-10 to an order - and that makes no sense. Save the money and get more cars!

COMBINED SHIPPING: Yes, it's automatic. $5.99 minimum for 1 car or as specified in offer, up to 10 cars for $11.00 flat rate. Larger orders of 10 or more cars will be discounted as costs allow.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: No, sorry, US only. When we had our former eBay store (their fees became intolerable), we lost about 12% of orders going overseas (most without explanation) and the customs/insurance paperwork could take 20 minutes per box. There are several re-shippers who will order from the US and ship to you anywhere in the world. Please use one of those services.

WYSIWYG/CONDITION: I deliberately use large, high-res images from a professional quality flatbed scanner and a Nikon D70 digital SLR to be honest, fair, and clear. There will be no tiny, fuzzy images covering up flaws in this shop. Most of the offerings are loose (no packaging), used, not mint (unless the image shows an unopened package), and some will have the occasional ding or flake of paint missing. I do not sell junk, refurbished, or "ready for restoration" cars with the good side facing the camera!
I use NO REFERENCE IMAGES so you ALWAYS RECEIVE THE ACTUAL ITEMS IN THE PHOTO. In short, RARE 64's uses the Golden Rule.

ABOUT THE STORE: I collected 1:64  to 1:72 Matchbox diecasts since a boy in the 60's, then got the Hot Wheels fever in 1968. Never recovered. A year later got hit by Johnny Lightning in 1969 and never stopped buying the little shiny things. I remember when finding the first Red Baron or Jack Rabbit made you King of the Neighborhood for weeks! Then we played demolition derby on our porches and lost thousands of dollars in future car value!

Over these years, I gathered more than 4400 different cars, a one time showing over 450 different Corvettes and 300 Porsche in my rec room. Now it's time to thin the collection for space concerns as well as to fund more specific collecting goals and frankly to afford some rarities. I'm selling off over 2000 different cars and trucks, offering the most hard-to-find, rare items first. I'm glad these cars find good homes from serious, interest collectors. We are also adding some new, packaged, mint items from our travels. Sometimes you just stumble upon something special and new and have to buy it. As ever I put away some packaged cars for 5-10 years and most years will open a bin or two to offer things worth having.
