Some Information About KpTech
ABOUT ME - KpTech |
ABOUT MY AUCTIONS Thank you for looking - I sell Linux distributions and open source software, computer hardware, electronic items, and a range of other items. My item descriptions are always honest, and all hardware I sell is tested before listing - I will not sell anything known to be defective. Most of my auction listings carry a clear description of the item, and a photograph In order to keep page sizes manageable some photographs may not show fine details. If you would like a larger or more detailed picture, or more information on any of my listings please ask - I will be happy to email one to you. Many of my auctions include postage; if not I will always state the postage clearly on the listing. I do not make surcharges for Paypal or anything else - the price you see is the price you pay. If you win one of my auctions please get in touch as soon as possible - just a quick email to confirm you will be sending payment is fine. I will usually send an invoice within 24 hours unless an online payment is received. Payment - I accept payment by the following means: -
However, the number of cheques which have been returned, coupled with the attitude of certain buyers who seem to think I will send goods the same day a cheque is received (and in too many cases also seem to think bombarding me with increasingly unpleasant emails will expedite their cheque clearing) mean that cheques are just too much trouble. If you send payment by post PLEASE include a letter - just a note with your name and address, Ebid ID, and the item number is fine. Payments sent without any form of identification cost me too much time following up. Postage and Packing - Items
paid for by Paypal, Nochex, or postal order will usually be despatched
within one working of receipt of payment. Unverified PPPay payments
will not be considered complete The postage method will be stated in the auction - if you want an item sent by an alternative method please ask. All my items are securely packed in good quality
packaging and clearly labelled. In the unlikely event of an item
arriving damaged, please let me know as soon as possible, ideally with
a picture of the damaged package. Please also retain the packaging to
assist with a claim against the Post Office. Where the listing states international postage available, I am always happy to post to buyers overseas. Please contact me before placing a bid though so I can confirm postage costs to your country. Feedback - I will nearly always leave feedback, unless I feel there is a good reason not to. I very rarely leave negative feedback, and never do so without a very good cause. Non Paying Bidders - There are too many non-paying bidders on Ebid, and I have no tolerance for them. My policy is to send a reminder after a week, then make an NPB alert after a further week. If you bid on an auction by mistake or have a genuine reason for not sending payment let me know as soon as possible and we should be able to work something out. |

ABOUT MYSELF I am a full time user of Debian Linux as my day to day operating system, and use a variety of other distributions. I am therefore able to offer advice and assistance with Linux and Open Source Software - I do not simply sell disks to make money. I am a strong supporter of open source software, and make contributions to open source projects. If you purchase open source software from me please consider using Paypal, which I normally use for my donations - that way some of your money will go back to the Community. For most of my software I cannot unfortunately offer full-time support; however I do use Linux, OpenOffice.org, and other open-source applications, and am always happy to answer questions - if I can't answer your question I will at the very least try to point you in the right direction.
