Fabric pots, such as our Bountiful Plant Pots, can be used as grow pots for a large variety of vegetables and flowers on any porch, yard, house, greenhouse or high tunnel. Seeds may be sown directly in the pots or started and then transplanted.
To combat the ever rising cost of food, try growing your own produce! Now is time to start! Growing your own vegetables allows you to control what types of chemicals and pesticides, if any, will be used. The produce you are buying from your grocery store is, most likely, not local and probably comes from thousands of miles away or from another country and you have no idea what chemicals were used or how fresh it is.
How wonderful it is to sit down and eat a meal harvested from your very own garden! Your family will thank you! Growing your own vegetable garden also gives you the security and satisfaction of providing for your family at a fraction of the cost of grocery store prices.
If soil is poor, you can still have an abundant garden using containers such as our Bountiful Plant Pots. No soil? No garden space? No backyard? No problem! You don't need to have a lot of space to have a garden. You can grow a garden or flowers on your very tiny apartment patio and our Bountiful Plant Pots help make it easy!
Everyone hates weeds. Weeds are a major reason most people don't grow their own garden. Weeding takes time, is frustrating and seems endless. Growing in fabric grow pots eliminates most weeds and those that do sprout are easily removed. Using a weed free growing medium can virtually eliminate ALL weeding activity.
Bountiful Plant Pots work well when watered automatically utilizing a clock and drip emitters, or hand watered from a hose or watering can. Our fabirc pots are made of a very strong synthetic fiber material and the seams are double machine stitched with heavy nylon thread for a long life.
Bountiful Plant Pots are easy to fill, carry, and dump out at the end of the season. They can be reused for many years and if you keep sharp tools from cutting or puncturing the material, they are virtually indestructible.
Advantages of using these plant pots instead of clay, or plastic pots is numerous:
- Air and water permeable. Oxygen can more easily get through to the plants roots. Water can enter and drain.
- Roots are air pruned. They do not grow in circles around the pot resulting in a healthier root system and a more vigorous plant.
- Portable. Move them in and out of the sun, wind, or hail, and into more protected areas.
- Black material warms more quickly in the early part of the day, yet the evaopative cooling effect helps to keep them cool in the hottest part of the day.
- Difficult to over water because the excess water drains through the material. The growing medium retains only the water it can hold.
- Chemical resistant.
- Can be placed close together and still breathe.
- Suitable for hydroponic growing using a variety of growing mediums.
- Light weight.
- Reusable over multiple seasons.
- Environmentally friendly.
- Can be folded and stored in a very small space.
Don't lug around plastic buckets that are ugly, get brittle and break from the sun, and when stacked, take up an enormous amount of storage space.
