Original Italian 13 inch x 30 inch Locandina Poster for the 1956 Leslie Norman Hammer Horror Movie X THE UNKNOWN, story and screenplay by Jimmy Sangster and starring Dean Jagger, Edward Chapman, Leo McKern, William Lucas, Anthony Newley, Jameson Clark, Peter Hammond, Ian MacNaughton, Michael Ripper and Kenneth Cope.
A group of scientists and army officials are faced with a destructive mass which has escaped from the earth's centre and is terrorising a region in Scotland.
The poster art is by Silvano "Nano" Campeggi (1923 - 2018). An Italian artist who designed and produced the artwork for the posters of many classic Hollywood films. His iconic images are associated with the golden era of Hollywood and Campeggi is now generally regarded as the most important graphic artist and poster designer in the history of American cinema
The poster is in very good condition with one horizontal fold.
