Seller's Description
snw0508 This is an antique 1947 letter from Stephen Hall King famous military commander and served on HMS Southampton throughout WW1 written to Sinclair Logan who was a famous wartime and post war classical music composer who was offering his concerts for the blind, and Stephen King here shows his friendship with the composer in this single page letter sent from his home address on his home London printed paper discussing seeing the composer on the bus, how he wants to feature him on his Childrens Hour Show (in the 1940s he had a BBC show for children) and his wish to become involved in assisting the composer with his work for the blind. Stephen Hall King also went for Parliament but lost the seat to Harold Wilson (later Prime Minister). You will never find a better opportunity for a personally signed item than this letter as it is from his home address on his home headed paper after the war folded where posted but great condition
