Original 12 inch x 9 inch Still for the 1929 Arnold Fanck & Georg Wilhelm Pabst Adventure WHITE HELL OF PITZ PALU (DIE WEISSE HOLLE VOM PIZ PALU) starring Leni Riefenstahl, Gustav Diessl, Ernst Petersen, and World War I flying ace Ernst Udet.
The film is about a man who loses his wife in an avalanche while climbing the Piz Palü mountain, and spends the next few years searching the mountain alone for her body.
The still, on doubleweight paper, is in very good condition with the Sokal-Film GmbH production company logo in the lower left corner.
