Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1960 Pietro Francisci Sword and Sandal Adventure THE WARRIOR EMPRESS (SAFFO, VENERE DI LESBO) starring Kerwin Mathews, Tina Louise, Riccardo Garrone, Enrico Maria Salerno, Aldo Fiorelli and Elke Sommer.
This Italian costume adventure is set in the 7th century B.C. on the island of Lesbos, where the immortal poetess Sappho (Tina Louise) is leading a revolt against the corrupt government of Mytilene. Aiding her in overthrowing the yoke of tyranny is the handsome Phaon (Kerwin Mathews).
The poster is in very good folded condition with a ‘U’ certificate sticker bottom centre.
