It's a premoulded strip of asphalt, especially designed to take care of the expansion i brick, wood black, granite black and concrete paving and to act as protection against expansion in concrete foundations. Disbound from a large 1916 engineering book, this one page unique technical data specification sheet contains a small amount of residual glue. It would display beautifully matted and framed.
