Vogue 1798 sewing pattern. This Undated (Late 1970's or early 1980's) pattern can be used to make 4 different styles of a Misses' pants in a size 14 or 28" waist (Eur 42) 38 inch hip.
Also included in the pattern is an extensive sizing guide for using Gingham material and a basic fitting shell to get a custom fit. This sizing guide/shell can be used on other pant patterns to achieve a custom fit.
The fitting shell has been cut and marked on. The rest of the pattern is uncut.

MISSES' PANTS
Straight-legged pants. View A has back zipper closing. View B has waistband and back zipper closing. View C has front-buttoned waistband with carriers and mock fly front zipper closing. View D has same waistband and zipper closing as C, front tucks and side front slanted pockets. Views C and D have topstitch trim.

NOTE:
Also included in package are pattern and instructions for a basic fitting shell which must be sewn in a WOVEN GINGHAM CHECK FABRIC.

NOTE:
This pattern reflects a change in fashion towards a slimmer leg look.

NOTION :
7" Skirt Zipper and hooks and eyes Size 2. Also one 5/8" button (line 24) button for C & Dand Seam Binding for D.

FABRICS:
Soft or Crisp fabrics such as 1/4" (6mm) Woven Gingham Check for Basic Fitting Shell. Flannel, Gabardine, Velveteen Tweed, Shetland and Cashmere for A,B,C and D.
Obvious diagonal fabrics are not suitable. For one-way design: use nap yardage and nap layout. Allowance for matching plaid and stripes not included in yardages given.
