Seller's Description
In 1925 Brunswick acquired the record operations of Vocalion, and issued pressings as a subsidiary label. Numbers by this time reached 15000. Brunswick pressed the Vocalions in black shellac, rather than red. Due to the scarcity of post-1925 Vocalions, it is not clear whether they were pressed in Canada in the Brunswick era, though this label states "Made In The U.S.A." Several label designs were used until a blue-and-gold design in 1937. The blue-label Vocalions appear frequently in Canada and may have been imported. Vocalion last appeared in 1940.
Here are two fox trots in SUPERB condition. Clean and clear sounding. Remarkably well preserved! I see only the lightest of playwear. We give it a near-mint grading.
Side 4914-A presents the vocal of "Billy", with vocal chorus by Bonnie Baker. Side 4914-B features, "Everybody Loves My Baby", with vocal chorus by Orrin Tucker. Both fox trot rhythms are performed by the Orrin Tucker Orchestra.
