Genuine Vintage Sterling Silver Designer Massive Nouveau Swirl Brooch
Hello there and welcome (kroeso) to my wee store.
I sell online in high-end shops and websites and pre-Covid used to attend trade fairs around the globe. I have a huge stock of "bargain basement" items which were great at fairs for inexpensive extras. I also have a massive stock of highly valuable and collectable items never seen before on the internet.
I find it heart-breaking that brooches such as this no longer seem to have the appeal they once did as they are one of the most versatile pieces of jewellery you could have.
A statement brooch like this could be worn on so many pieces of clothing providing an elegant statement.
ABOUT THIS BROOCH
Constructed from solid Sterling Silver (925 parts per 1000)
Fully maker assay marked and X-ray tested.
Dates to middle 20th Century (c1960s)
The style is classic Nouveau swirl design, so elegant and stylish.
Fastens with a silver hinged pin and roll over clasp - all in good order.
Also has a thick bail to the rear so can be worn as a pendant.
Condition is very good, especially considering its age.
Length is 67mm.
Width is 39 mm.
It sits 14 mm proud.
Weight is 26 grams
You would expect to pay between £200 and £350 for a brooch like this at a fancy antique shop, depending on your ability to hunt down a bargain.

CONDITION REPORT
Many of my brooches are VERY old and have some signs of this. I ensure they are fully operational and can be worn from arrival but I do not like polishing them to "as new" because I feel this detracts from their history. I will consider doing so, for a small fee, if you ask nicely ;-)
