Vintage Selro/Selini Egyptian Revival Glass Cabochon and Green Glass Bead Collar Necklace with Fitted Box
This wonderful vintage Egyptian Revival Collar necklace features three central Green pressed Glass Egyptian Pharaoh panels suspended from a chain of Green Glass double drilled concave beads with a push hook clasp.
The Necklace comes complete with its Egyptian themed Red plush Velver fitted case.
I believe the Necklace to have been made by the Selinger company (Selro Jewellery) as they often used Egyptian themes (as well as Asian and African faces) and I have personally seen the 'double drilled concave shaped beads' in various other items of his jewellery (Selro/Selini jewellery were sometimes signed 'Selro Corp' but not always as many peices are unsigned) - This Necklace is unsigned.
Paul Selinger was born in Odessa, Ukraine in 1911, he immigrated to the United States in 1927. The Selinger company was in business from approximately the late 1940s until about 1975.
