Detailed Condtion : Age darkened vintage German stein, has a couple of small rub marks (possibly paint flaws), no cracks or major damage, lid hinge works great.
This is a vintage lidded German beer stein. It is marked DBGM inside the lid which I believe means "Deutsche Bundes-Gebrauchsmuster (German Federal Registered Design). I believe this dates it to 1949 or later. There is an impressed mark on the bottom which is only partially legible but I think it says "Original King" with a "3" underneath. (see last two photos above)

This stein stands about 7-7/8" tall. It looks to be ceramic and hand painted. It has a castle theme with four people on one side. The entire stein shows a lot of age darkening but it was originally painted in many colors. The lid shows a lot of rust/darkening but the hinge works well. There are a few very small rub marks (or possibly paint flaws) but no cracks or major damage.
I'm not an expert on vintage German beer steins so if you have any information to share, I would appreciate it.
