What a cutie. A little Corn Husk Doll, wearing a pink gingham apron with a matching bonnet. She looks like she is ready to go work in the garden with her little metal spade or trowel. Under the bonnet you can see a tuff of brown hair peeking out.

She stands 3-1/8 inches (8 cm) tall and 1-7/8 inches (4.8 cm) wide including the trowel. She weighs a scant 5 grams.

The doll has quite a few black spots on her as if someone was doing some black splatter painting near her.

A corn husk doll is a Native American toy, a doll made out of the dried leaves or "husk" of a corn cob. Making corn husk dolls was adopted by early European settlers in the United States of America.

I have a total of 11 different Corn Husk Dolls for sale as seen in the picture. This sale is for the one doll from the set of 11 dolls.

I bought these Corn Husk Dolls at an auction. They were selling of the contents of a small museum, located in a campground, not too far from where I live. Most of the items from the auction were from the 1800’s to the 1950’s. Unfortunately I do not have any idea of the vintage of these particular Corn Husk Dolls nor of their history.

The dolls will be wrapped in tissue paper then bubble pack of foam sheeting and shipped in a small box.
