Vintage Beer Stein Evergreen Forest Scene Deer Stag Doe Stoneware 0.5 L German

A vintage 0.5 liter German stoneware beer stein mug featuring an evergreen forest scene with deer (stag, doe, fawn), rabbit, and green painted spruce or fir trees on the side of the stein .  It has a dark blue background glaze for the sky and a tan background glaze throughout.  The handle is in the shape of a piece of wood.

The capacity mark '1/2' is stamped next to the top of the handle.  The bottom of the stein is hallmarked with a bar and a 6 next to it.  I have been unable to determine the manufacturer or year of production.  The bottom of the stein is also stamp with a "2" quality control impression.   'Made in West Germany' is stamped into the base.

The beer stein holds a half liter of beer and weighs one pound seven ounces. The stein is approximately 6.75 inches tall x 3.75 inches wide at the base x 3 inches wide at the rim. 

The mug has no cracks, chips, or repair.  There is glaze crazing on the stein around the base, rim, and inside the stein. The stein is in overall very good condition.

A great item for breweriana collectors.  Perfect for Octoberfest.
