Seller's Description
Genuine Vintage 14ct Gold RG Designer Pearl Spray Brooch
Hello there and welcome (kroeso) to my wee store.
I sell online in high-end shops and websites and pre-Covid used to attend trade fairs around the globe. I have a huge stock of "bargain basement" items which were great at fairs for inexpensive extras. I also have a massive stock of highly valuable and collectable items never seen before on the internet.
I find it heart-breaking that brooches such as this no longer seem to have the appeal they once did as they are one of the most versatile pieces of jewellery you could have.
A spray brooch like this could be worn on so many pieces of clothing providing an elegant statement.
ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Fully assay marked K&L Germany. From the famous designer Kordes & Lichtenfels.

The style is classic spray design with long plain stems and highly detailed leaves.
Gemstones: Single round white created pearl.
Fastens with a gold hinged pin and roll over clasp - all in good order.
Condition is very good, especially considering its age.
Length is 52.5mm along stems.
Width is 38.5 mm across leaves.
It sits 12 mm proud.

You would expect to pay between £150 and £275 for a brooch like this at a fancy antique shop, depending on your ability to hunt down a bargain.

CONDITION REPORT
Many of my brooches are VERY old and have some signs of this. I ensure they are fully operational and can be worn from arrival but I do not like polishing them to "as new" because I feel this detracts from their history. I will consider doing so, for a small fee, if you ask nicely ;-)
ROLLED GOLD: Over the decades I have bathed many many kilos of old gold items in acid to purify the gold content back to 24ct. The older methods did not use thin plates of gold like today's plating but used solid gold in the construction.
Rolled Gold is a technique where solid plates of gold are mechanically fused onto a base metal. Very high quality and will not wear if looked after.
Over many years my average yield of gold from rolled gold items is 4.2%
For a 14ct item such as this that equates to the outer 7.2% being made of gold.
I guarantee all items to be as described and will accept a return on anything you are not happy with.
Please contact me directly via messaging should you wish to do this.
