Original 1771 6 1/8 inch x 10 7/8 inch copper plate engraving titled VIEW OF THE MOON-POND, AND THE TEMPLE OF PIETY, WITH PART OF STUDLEY PARK, IN YORKSHIRE, BELONGING TO WM. AISLABIE ESQ.
View of a circular pond, flanked by two crescents of water, decorated by three classical statues, with a classical temple to left, woods forming a semi-circle in the background and figures in the park, including a man sitting on the grass in the right foreground, with a companion leaning on his elbows against the verge, talking to a lady who walks past.
After an earlier etching by Anthony Walker (1726 - 1765). An English printmaker, artist and renowned draughtsman.
