Seller's Description
A Victrola Red Label, #64841 from about 1910 and one of the "Big Three" in label names. This single-sided recording still plays great, with a lot of gloss remaining, but shows normal wear. Very clean, but a few small scratches and hiss are to be expected. No skips, chips, or cracks.
Side 64841-A presents a violoncello solo, with orchestra of Handel's "Menuett", performed by Hans Kindler - (1892-1949) who was a teacher and cellist with the Berlin Philharmonic. In 1914 he became principal cellist of the Philadelphia Orchestra under Leopold Stokowski. He both founded and conducted the National Symphony in 1931.
