Victor 78 #20007 - "Valencia" & "No More Worryin' " - Paul Whiteman Orchestra

A Victor Orthophonic Recording Label from the Roaring Twenties and one of the "Big Three" in label names. Here is a pair of fox trot tempos from the legendary Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra. Using a large ensemble and exploring many styles of music, Whiteman is perhaps best known for his blending of symphonic music and jazz and produced recordings that were immensely successful, with press notices often referring to him as the "King of Jazz". Duke Ellington declared, "Paul Whiteman was known as the King of Jazz, and no one as yet has come near carrying that title with more certainty and dignity."

Side 20007-A presents, "Valencia", a fox trot with vocal refrain, and side 20007-B offers another fox trot, "No More Worryin' ". We give this platter an VG+ rating for sound and condition. Some label wear on the A side is a small detraction. The plays are mostly clean and clear with only moderate scuff and scratch marks. Light background noise.
