Easy-peasy paw casting
3D casting produces amazing results and the effort is more than worth it, we promise! With the help of our instructions that come with the kit you will be able to produce a great paw cast, just like the photos show you here! NOTE: You will definitely need two pairs of hands – one pair in charge of the dog and one pair in charge of the alginate.

For the casting process, you will need a suitable sized container that will fit the paw with plenty of spare room at the bottom and sides. Make sure the container isn't too big in order to minimise waste. Something like a large yoghurt pot or a large plastic drinks bottle is ideal. We give a lot more suggestions of what to use in the instructions that come with the kit.

Skin safe
Our paw print casting kits contains high-grade, colour changing (chromatic) alginate impression powder, which is totally safe for use on skin. The main ingredient of BabyRice alginate is seaweed! All of our alginate conforms to British Safety Standards (BS 4269 Pt.2:1991) and ISO 1563:1990.

Generally speaking, the alginate mould won't stick to your pet's fur, however, we do recommend lubricating the paw with a drop of olive oil, coconut oil or something similar. Ask any dog owner and they'll tell you that dogs think with their stomachs, so bear in mind that any lotion you use will probably be licked by your furry friend. Whatever you use make sure it's something safe for them to ingest.
