Seller's Description

CHAU3147  Antique 1962 letter from 1950s and 1960s British television managing director and presenter and actor Val Parnell He auditioned and signed 12-year-old Julie Andrews for her first professional performance and introduced her to her manager, Charles Tucker, also known as Uncle Charlie Tucker. In 1956 he was appointed managing director of Associated Television (ATV). He took a personal interest in the station's output and presented the top-rated ITV weekly musical variety show Val Parnell's Sunday Night at the London Palladium until 1965. This vintage 1962 hand signed souvenir from his offices at ATV House discusses the music to his London Palladium Sunday Night show and about Winifred Atwell.  It is personally autographed with light handling and folded where posted but very good condition.  You will never get a better listing for this historic signing than resting on the headed paper of ATV itself and direct from his offices.
