Original old petroleum magazine vintage ad for UNITED STATES STEEL of Dallas, TX. Oil Well Supply, founded by John Eaton in 1862. Oilwell stores have been on the scene wherever there has been oil or gas activity. Like the early 1900 store, they have all served as social center, information centers, home away from home. Most important is their role in supplying every conceivable item of oil field equipment from derricks to packing rings, draw works to waste rags. Pictured is the store in Odessa with over 11,000 items in stock. This 1962 two page gatefold oil-field equipment advertisement would display beautifully matted and framed.
