Original vintage magazine ad, TYGART VALLEY GLASS COMPANY of Washington, PA. Green and white sketch. In 1827, Enoch Robinson invented the glass press which was adapted and improved by Jarves for the Boston and Sandwich Company. This press increased production and lowered operating costs. Soon pressed glass, in counltess shapes and colors, made the name of Sandwich famous throughout the world. Tygart Valley Light Weight Jars for Peanut Butter.
