Original 9 3/8 inch x 7 1/2 inch Portrait of draughtsman TED (EDWARD) MARSHALL for the 1949 Brian Desmond Hurst Comedy TROTTIE TRUE, based on a novel by S.J. Simon & Caryl Brahms and starring Jean Kent, James Donald, Hugh Sinclair, Bill Owen, Andrew Crawford and Lana Morris.
Text on the reverse: Ted Marshall, chief draughtsman, goes to work on the drawings of Wellwater House, a set required in the film “TROTTIE TRUE”. He is seen using a special rhodiod protractor which gives him the camera angles so that the set can be designed to fulfil the requirements of the camera’s viewpoint.
The portrait is in very good condition with minor surface marks.
