Original 1955 Re-Release U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1936 Henry Hathaway Romantic Drama THE TRAIL OF THE LONESOME PINE, based on the novel by John Fox Jr., and starring Sylvia Sidney, Fred MacMurray, Henry Fonda, Fred Stone, Nigel Bruce Beulah Bondi, Fuzzy Knight Tuffy, Henry Brandon and Charles Middleton.
This was the second full-length feature film to be shot in three-strip Technicolor and the first in colour to be shot outdoors, with the approval of the Technicolor Corporation. Much of it was shot at Big Bear Lake in southern California. As with the novel, the film makes extensive use of Appalachian English in the dialogue.
The poster is in fine folded condition.
