The card is in VF/NM condition and was straight from pack to storage.

In 2015 Topps introduced the first Star Wars trading card product targeted towards the high-end collector. Featuring heavy thick cardboard stock, Star Wars Masterwork featured premium quality cards and inserts. The cards were sold in “mini-boxes” which had 5 cards. There were 4 mini-boxes to a box and 8 boxes in a case. Each mini-box was guaranteed a premium hit. This meant a box had 4 premium hits in it.

Pricing of the boxes was around $200 USD and with the limited number of base cards and inserts available in a box, it made it very difficult for collectors to complete their sets.

To expand on the premium nature of the product, parallel versions of all the cards were available and each level was limited and numbered.

Base Cards and Parallels

50 base cards and 25 short print cards were available to collect. 4 parallels  (not including printing plates) were available for both base and short print cards and each parallel was numbered. Short print cards were found approximately 1 in every 4 regular base cards.

Insert sub-sets and Parallels

3 insert sets were available and the inserts were found at a rate of 1 in 3 mini-boxes.

In addition, 6 parallel versions (not including printing plates) were produced for the inserts. The variants were interesting as the material on which they were printed was different. Wood cards and Acetate cards clearly distinguished the parallels.

Premium Hits

4 guaranteed premium hits were found in each box of Star Wars Masterwork. The premium hits could be one of the following

• Momentous Movie Relices (Medallions, Shield Bunker Relics, Stamps)
• Autograph cards
• Sketch cards
• Printing Plates

There were 3 different types of movie relics. The first was the manufactured Medallions which have become standard in Topps products. 12 different Medallions were created and paired with different characters for 31 different cards (and 3 parallels) to collect. The parallels were Bronze (# to 129), Silver (# to 50) and Gold (# to 10).

15 Stamp relic cards each had a 41 cents US Star Wars stamp encased in the card. These were all limited and numbred to 99 copies.

Actual movie relic cards were sourced from the Shield Bunker in Return of the Jedi. 6 different Shield Bunker Frame and 6 different Shield Bunker Inner Panel cards were produced with each card having 3 parallels (Bronze - # to 155 / # to 255, Silver # to 77 and Gold # to 10).

Autographs were on-card and 40 different signers were available. 6 variants of the single autographs were available with the base being unnumbered (Silver Frame - # to 28, Rainbow - # to 25, Canvas - # to 10, Wood – 1/1, Pen Relic 1/1). Also available were Dual Autograph books, Triple Autograph books a Wood Dual autograph and 5 cut signatures from deceased actors/actresses.

169 artists produced Sketch cards for Masterwork 2015 and these sketches also have 4 variants on top of the regular silver base sketches. Gold sketches, Wood sketches and Book sketches were produced by most of the artists on the set.

Printing plates of the base, short print and insert cards were also available as a premium hit..
