This Golden Age comic is officially Vol. 9 # 4 which is this 100th Anniversary Issue of this very early comics' title! When's the last time you saw this?! This has 52 pages of many different features! This is in lower grade condition, but has all pages here and complete!
The Captain and the Kids kick off this issue with a 5 pager by Rudolph Dirks, as they cook in the kitchen!
The Mirror Man by unknown starts with the line "Look at that, Major -- a kite suspended in the sky!" as Mirror Man makes his final comic book apperance!
"The Hitch Hiker" by Al Capp stars Li'l Abner and crew in a 6 pager!
"The horses are in the starting gate!" Jim Hardy by Dick Moores tells the story that involves horse-racing and crime!
Gordo stars in a 3 pages story by Gus Arriola is probably the very 1st mention of the Mexican Holiday 'Cinco de Mayo' in Comic Books!!
Fritzi Ritz by Ernie Bushmiller starts off with Phil Rumble asking "So you're looking for a job, eh, Fritzi?"
Next is Nancy and Sluggo by Ernie Bushmiller!
"Indian Chiefs" is the topic on the "Strange as It Seems" page by John Hix!
"The Triple Terror" takes place in Burma in this superhero strip! This is by Fred Methot and Paul Berdanier that shows Lectra and Chemix in the only hotel of the village of Sum-Chic in Burma where dastardly deeds are being done!
"Bill Bumlin" is a 5 pager by Bernard Dibble as he arrives all alone on the five o'clock train!
