Condition: Very good
Measures approximately 2-1/2 inches in diameter.
White with royal blue lettering.
Safety pin on back.
Still has my name “Kathy” handwritten by my mother as the insert.
Kept in a smoke-free home.
I am the original owner of this membership badge. The Catholic school and church I belonged to, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Glenview, Illinois, had not only an Olympic swimming pool, but also a roller skating rink open to the public. I was a member of the Playdium roller skating club where they taught us various dance roller skating routines prior to open skating on Saturday nights. We had such fun back in the early 60s. I still have a couple of skating costumes my mother handmade for me! Rumor has it that when the roller skating rink and swimming pool were closed to the public that the nuns that taught at the elementary school had full usage of these facilities. And in case you’re wondering, no, I don’t roller skate anymore!
