" John Hurt stars as Braddock, a quiet, calculating hitman in this clever and entertaining suspense drama. Braddock must transport Willie Parker (Terrence Stamp), a gangster-turned-informer, from Spain to Paris where Willie faces execution. Braddock is aided by Myron (Tim Roth), his young smart-aleck assistant.
The seemingly manageable journey is complicated when Braddock realizes that they are being followed by the police. Trying to get a fresh car, Braddock gains another hostage, a beautiful Spanish girl (Laura de Sol) who will try anything to stay alive. There are too many people involved now, and only one will survive...The Hit is incredibly photographed by cinematographer Mike Malloy who filmed "A Clockwork Orange" and "Barry Lyndon." Tension and humor are perfectly blended in director Stephen Frears' very intriguing film. " Used videodisc.
