Seller's Description
Printed colour postcard showing a view of the canal that is part of the Arthur Curtiss James estate at Miamin in Florida, USA. The canal channel is defined by a concrete wall that rises well above the waterline. The ground level is at the top of the retaining wall, and the area is planted with palm trees and flowering plants. The canal provides access to Biscayne Bay. A biplane is flying over the canal. The biplane appears to be an Aeromarine 75, a type of flying boat that was also known as the Felixstowe F5L.
Published by J.R. Chamberlain, Miami, printed by Curt Teich, Chicago, No R-79573, photo taken on 4 April 1909, printed 1919.
Postally unused.
Very good condition, with slight corner bumps.
