*************
St Ives (Cornish: Porth Ia) is a seaside town, civil parish and port in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The town lies north of Penzance and west of Camborne on the coast of the Celtic Sea. In former times it was commercially dependent on fishing. The decline in fishing, however, caused a shift in commercial emphasis and the town is now primarily a holiday resort. St Ives was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1639. St Ives has become renowned for its number of artists. It was named best seaside town of 2007 by the Guardian newspaper

Question From FlyingmonkeysJo [0] Sun 12 Jun 2016 18:41:37 (EDT) Hi
Is it possible to tell from the picture which
bed and breakfasts are featured? I.e. the
names of them if possible?
Many thanks

Answer From justthebook [+1694] Tue 14 Jun 2016 19:20:24 (EDT) Hi - thanks for the question. I have had a good look with my best magnifying glass and I can't see the names of the guest houses. There is one on the left and one on the right. The sign on the one on the right may say something with the initials B..G.. There is also a post box with post office sign on it in the foreground. I have checked Google Street view around the post offices in the town but I can't see any features today. Perhaps if you know St. Ives (I have never been there), you may be able to work out where it is..Best wishes, Tony.

Question From FlyingmonkeysJo [0] Wed 15 Jun 2016 01:45:01 (EDT) Thank you very much for taking the time
and effort to look at this for me, I really
appreciate it. I have been trying to locate
an old picture of a specific B&B as a gift for
someone. Best Wishes.
