  • Brand: Litton Systems "Spartan Solder" (now Kester)
  • Model: 14-0000-8048
  • Diameter: 1/8 inch
  • Weight: The weight of the spool is 7.7 oz which implies it has about 7.5 oz of solder left on it
  • The vintage of this tells me it is Tin/Lead solder. Unfortunately neither box nor spool indicate the percentage of each. Though, it is most likely 50% Tin, 50% Lead as that was most common when this item was manufactured.

While Tin/Lead solder should not be used on plumbing (potable water pipes), there are still non-plumbing applications where this type of solder can be used.
