A deep space probe returns to Earth infected with a deadly fungus that turns blood into caustic rust. The scientist that first discovers this dies of fungus poisoning, not before infecting his fiancee. She goes crazy and takes off across the country leaving death and destruction in her wake. Two G-men are assigned the unenviable task of finding her and injecting her with the antidote.
